Basketball (Women's) | 12/30/2014 11:30:00 PM

PAINESVILLE, Ohio - After a 10-day layoff, the Clarion University women's basketball team returns to the court at 3 p.m. Wednesday when it travels to Lake Erie College.

The Golden Eagles (1-9) will try to snap a six-game losing streak when they face the Storm (6-3), who broke a two-game slide last time out with a 56-54 win at Saginaw Valley Dec. 16.
Clarion, coming off a 91-68 loss at West Chester Dec. 20, is led junior guard Tania Holmes (15.5 ppg). Holmes is the lone healthy Golden Eagle scoring in double digits, although sophomore Delrika Jones-Carey is adding 8.1 ppg and 7.8 rpg and junior Jasmine Boyd 6.4 ppg.

Lake Erie is paced by freshman guard Kayla Gabor, who averages 16.8 ppg, while junior center Kaeding Skelton chips in with 10.2 ppg and 7.0 rpg.

After Wednesday, Clarion is back in action Saturday at Cheyney and Sunday at Millersville before returning home to face Shippensburg Jan. 7.
