CLARION, Pa. - The Clarion University women's basketball teams returns home to face PSAC West foe California (Pa.) at 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
Prior to the game, the Golden Eagles will honor senior forward
Hannah Heeter for scoring her 1,000th career points Nov. 15 against West Virginia State. In her career, Heeter has scored 1,073 points, the 10th most at Clarion, while grabbing 940 rebounds, the fourth most. She has also recorded 46 double-doubles and needs one more to tie Mona Gaffney for third in school history.
Clarion enters the game off a 72-45 loss at Gannon Wednesday night that dropped the Golden Eagles to 1-5 overall and 0-2 in the PSAC West.
Cal is coming off an 83-60 win over Pitt-Johnstown Wednesday that improved the Vulcans to 6-1 overall and 3-0 in the PSAC West.
After Saturday, Clarion is off until Dec. 16 when it hosts Bloomsburg at 5:30 p.m. The Golden Eagles then host East Stroudsburg at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 17 in their last home game of 2014. Clarion will return to Tippin Gym Jan. 7 when it hosts Shippensburg.
