                (CLARION, PA.): Clarion's Hunter Jones (So. New Rochelle, N.Y.) posted a major decision at 125 and Michael Pavasko (Jr. Munhall/Steel Valley) notched a decision at 174, but it wasn't enough as Eastern Michigan posted three falls on its way to a 34-7 win over the Golden Eagles at Waldo S. Tippin Gym on Saturday afternoon.
 
                Clarion's overall record drops to 1-10 overall, while EMU raised its record to 6-3
 
 

               Hunter Jones staked Clarion to a 4-0 team, lead when scored a 14-4 major decision over Blake Caudill at 125-pounds. Leading 4-2 entering the second period, Jones notched two takedowns and a three-point near fall to lead 11-4. A reversal and riding time gave him a 14-4 win, raiding his season record to 6-6.
 
                After EMU's Vince Pizzuto pinned Seth Carr at 133, senior Sam Sherlock came out strong against Mike Shaw at 141 with two takedowns and a 4-1 first period lead. Shaw started the second period on top and was able to pin Sherlock in the second period to give EMU a lead it would never relinquish.
 
                Clarion lost its next three bouts as Brodie Zacherl lost 8-0 to Nicholas Barber at 149, Evan DeLong lost a 12-6 decision to Brandon Zeerip at 159 and Kyle Braddock was pinned by Devan Marry at 3:28 giving EMU a 25-4 lead.
 
                Michael Pavasko won a 7-3 decision at 174 over Austin Geerlings. Pavasko led 2-1 entering the second period when he chose netrual, and took Geerlings down twice to lead 6-2 after two periods. Pavasko added riding time in the third to win 7-3.
 
                Daniel Sutherland gave up a takedown with about 15 seconds remaining and Mike Curby defeated Sutherland 4-3 at 184. Ryan Darch lost a 9-5 decision to Anthony Abro at 197 and Joshua Davis, filling in at 285 for Evan Daley, lost an 8-4 decision to Gage Hutchison to end the met.
 
                CLARION NOTES: The Golden Eagles will be home again on Sunday, January 18^th when Clarion hosts George Mason at 2pm… It will be Senior Day at Clarion, and All-American Day at Clarion – as former Clarion All-Americans will be recognized.
