RESULTSCLARION MEN'S SWIMMERS LOSE 153-80 TO IUP
CLARION, PA.: Sophomore diver
Collin Vest (So. Larksville/Wyoming Valley West) was a double winner, while
James Robichaud (Sr. Annapolis, Md.) won the 200 yard freestyle on Friday night at Waldo S. Tippin Natatorium, but IUP defeated the Golden Eagles 150-83 in an NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving dual meet.
Vest won both diving events on Friday night, taking first on 3 meter with 335.75 points, and on 1 meter with 269.65 points.
Also scoring 2
nd place finishes on both boards was
Seth Brandenburg (Sr. Canton, Ohio, Massillon Perry). Seth scored 333.95 on 3 meter and 268.65 on 1 meter.
Robichaud had a strong evening in the pool, taking first place in the 200 free with a time of 1:47.88, while taking second in the 100 free with a time of 49.13.
Ben Spencer (So. Tunkhannock) placed second in the 200 backstroke with a time of 1:57.94, while the 400 free relay team of
Matthew Bair (So. Huntingdon),
Luke Simpson (So. Charleroi),
Chris Steele (Fr. North East) and
Travis Myers (Jr. Butler) placed second with a time of 3:26.78.
Clarion will swim at Edinboro on Saturday afternoon at 1pm.
