MEET RESULTS CLARION MEN'S SWIMMERS DROP 128-115 DUAL AT EDINBORO
Ian Lindsey EDINBORO, PA.: Clarion's
Ian Lindsey (So Cabot/Knoch) was a double winner, and teammates
James Robichaud (Sr. Annapolis, Md.) and
Ben Spencer (So. Tunkhannock) took individual events, but Edinboro was able to defeat the Golden Eagles 128-115 on Saturday afternoon in a Men's Swimming NCAA Division II dual meet at McComb Fieldhouse.
Lindsey won two events on Saturday, including the 200 breaststroke (2:18.37) and the 200 I.M. (2:07.23) to lead the way.
Robichaud meanwhile won the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 54.97, and was second in the 200 fly with a 2:03.33 clocking.
Spencer won the 100 backstroke with a time of 54.85, and also placed second in the 500 free with a time of 5:01.28.
In individual events the Golden Eagles also received second place finishes from
Shayne Custodio (Berlin, Md.) in the 1000 free (10:27.82),
Jon Haycock (So. Indiana) in the 100 breaststroke (1:02.27) and
Luke Simpson (So. Charleroi) in the 50 free (22.58).
Also taking first place in the 200 free relay was the team of
Travis Myers (Jr. Butler),
Robichaud,
Haycock and
Simpson with a time of 1:31.82.
Clarion will be participating at the Pitt Invite next Saturday, while the diving part of the Pitt Invite begins at 6pm Friday.
