CLARION, Pa. – The Clarion University women's basketball team hits the road for the fifth time in six games when it travels to Seton Hill for a 1 p.m. PSAC West contest Saturday.
The Golden Eagles (1-13 overall, 0-9 PSAC West) are looking to get back on the winning track after a 65-40 loss to Shippensburg Wednesday.
Seton Hill (5-9 overall, 2-7 PSAC West) also dropped a game Wednesday falling 62-55 to West Chester.
Sophomore guard
Delrika Jones-Carey has been Clarion's best player of late and recorded her third double-double in four outings Wednesday with 14 point and 12 rebounds. On the year, she is averaging 10.9 points and 8.9 rebounds per game.
Tania Holmes is Clarion's leading scorer at 13.3 points per contest, while
Jasmine Boyd adds 6.2 points per game,
Maria Taylor 5.2 and
Cara Cook 4.8.
Seton Hill doesn't have a player averaging in double figures and is led by Meghan Mastroianni's 9.6 points per contest. Lindsey Mifsud adds 7.6 points per game, Chelsea Apke 7.5 points and a team-leading 8.6 rebounds per game and Kelly Brennan 7.0 points per contest.
After Saturday, Clarion returns home to face Mercyhurst at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
