CLARION MEN'S SWIMMERS TOP GROVE CITY 177.5-113.5 (CLARION, PA.): Clarion juniors
Ian Lindsey (Cabot/Knoch) and
Collin Vest (Larksville/Wyoming Valley West) and freshman
Taylor Wesselhoft (Woodbridge, Va.) were all double winners on Saturday leading the Golden Eagles to a 177.5 – 113.5 win over Grove City in the 2015-6 season opener for the men's swimming and diving team at Tippin Natatorium.
Lindsey won his specialties – the 100 breaststroke (1:00.35) and the 200 breaststroke (2:17.61), while Wesselhoft took the 1650 (17:30.10) and the 500 free (5:03.19).
Other winners in the pool included Nathan Porter in the 200 free (1:48.36), Nathan Porter in the 100 backstroke (56.55), Patrick Oliver in the 400 IM (4:40.39) and Robert Hacku in the 100 free (49.81).
The Clarion 200 medley relay team of
Travis Myers,
Jon Haycock, Chris Fenoglietto and
Luke Simpson won the event with a time of 1:41.57.

nd 100 breast- 1:01.36),

nd 100 free- 49.89).
Collin Vest won both 1 and 3 meter diving competitions scoring 310.43 on 1 meter and 339.90 on 3 meter.
Clarion's next competition will be Oct. at Carnegie Mellon on Oct. 31. The Clarion diving invitational is Oct. 24 & 25.
