CMU RESULTS (Pittsburgh, Pa.):
Clarion's Cary Johns won the 1 meter diving event and placed second on 3 meter on Saturday helping lead the men's swimming and diving team to a 1-2 dual meet record at the CMU duals.
Clarion defeated Gannon 164 – 129, while losing to Case Western 188 – 105 and CMU 216 – 83, while the Eagles dual meet record is now even at 2-2.
In diving,
Cary Johns won the 1 meter event with 263.70 points and was second on 3 meter with 244.50 points. Teammate
Collin Vest was second on 1 meter with 260.35 points and third on 3 meter with 238.10 points.
In the pool,
Ian Lindsey placed third in the 100 yard breaststroke (59.84) and third in the 200 breaststroke (2:14.76), while
Nathan Porter placed third in the 200 free (1:45.79) and fourth in the 100 free (49.20).
Chris Fenoglietto also placed 4
th in the 100 back (55.02).
The Golden Eagles visit Shippensburg next Saturday at 1pm.
