CLARION SUFFER OVERTIME LOSS TO IUP
(Clarion, PA) – The Clarion Golden Eagles women's soccer club fell Saturday afternoon 2-1 in the first overtime period against Indiana University of PA.
Clarion University (0-2-0) took the lead at 74:33 with a strike from 20 yards out by
Brieann Cook who was assisted by
McKenzie Sheesley. However just minutes before regulation ended IUP battled back with a goal from Kiersten Zerbe who was assisted by Lexie Palluconi.
Despite the heartbreaking decision, Clarion was constantly attacking the net with shots on goal coming from seven different players and fifteen total shots on the day.
Clarion's
Krista Mosi had a strong afternoon facing 14 total shots, 10 of which were on goal.
Clarion University will be back in action on Wednesday September 9
th as they take on Pitt-Johnstown, in Johnstown at 4 pm.
