INDIANA, Pa. –
Summer Dacheux won the 200 Backstroke and the 200 Freestyle Relay Team also picked up a first place finish, but the Clarion women's swimming and diving team fell to IUP 132-67 on Friday. The Golden Eagles will be back in action tomorrow afternoon when they host Senior Day against Edinboro in Clarion.

Dacheux claimed the lone individual win for the Golden Eagles, winning the 200 Backstroke by a huge margin to claim nine points for Clarion in the meet. Dacheux beat her closest competition, Maddie Graham, by nearly three full seconds and finished with a time of 2:13.15 for the victory.

The sophomore was also part of the Golden Eagles' other winning effort on the evening, helping the 200 Backstroke Relay team win their event as well. The quartet of Katherine Querciagrossa, Dacheux, Kelsey Burke and Becca Yonek finished with a time of 1:43.35 to claim 11 points, with Dacheux swimming the fastest split at 25.52. Clarion's "B" team took second place in the race, with

Eliza O'Neal finishing in a time of 1:46.46.

The Crimson Hawks were in control of the rest of the meet, however, winning the other events on the slate to take the team victory.Â
Alexis Lopez came the closest to claiming another individual title at the meet, recording a time of 25.33 in the 50 Freestyle to take second behind Taylor Cisik's 25.25.
