CLARION, Pa. – The Clarion men's swimming and diving team kept it close throughout the day, but the Golden Eagles came up just short on Senior Day in falling to the Edinboro Fighting Scots 148-143 on Saturday.

Nathan Porter won a pair of events on the day, taking home the titles in the 200 and 500 Free events and claiming third in the 100 Free as well. In the 200, Porter edged out Edinboro's Francis Folz with a time of 1:45.63, beating Folz by better than a second for the title. Porter notched a similar margin of victory in the 500, recording a time of 4:49.04 to beat Joshua Beabout's time of 4:50.52.

The Golden Eagles claimed the top two times in the 200 Butterfly to take 13 team points from the event, with
Patrick Olivier leading the way and
Shayne Custodio coming in close behind. Olivier paced the field with a time of 2:03.16, winning the event, and Custodio recorded a time of 2:04.48 for second place.

Ian Lindsey added a pair of wins to his resume, starting with a victory in the 200 Breaststroke with a time of 2:14.62. Teammate
Jon Haycock took third to bolster the team points total for the Golden Eagles, finishing in a time of 2:19.17. Lindsey also won the 200 IM by edging out the Fighting Scots' Luke Frederick, recording a winning time of 2:03.34.

Collin Vest provided additional points with a pair of tremendous winning dives, winning both the 1m and 3m Dives. His jump in the 1m Dive netted him a score of 338.33, while his 3m Dive garnered a mark of 275.85.

The difference in the meet came in the relays, with the Fighting Scots winning both to secure the team advantage over the Golden Eagles.
