FULL RESULTS
CLARION, Pa. – The Clarion women's swimming and diving team honored its seniors before their home meet and very nearly delivered a win on Saturday, but the Golden Eagles ultimately fell by a 146-139 score to Edinboro at home.

Alexis Lopez built off her strong performance the previous night with a pair of wins on Saturday, starting with a victory in the 200 Freestyle. She won the event with a time of 1:59.90. Teammate
Eliza O'Neal took third in the event as well, finishing in a time of 2:06.93 as the Golden Eagles took two of the top three spots in the event. Â Â Lopez also won the 50 Freestyle, recording a time of 24.72 to edge out the Fighting Scots' Anastasiia Semkiv.Â

Summer Dacheux won another pair of events on Saturday, taking home the titles in the 100 and 200 Backstrokes. In the former, Dacheux beat the field by nearly two full seconds in recording a time of 1:00.66 for the victory. She built an even greater margin of victory in the latter event, cruising past the field for a time of 2:12.74 that was nearly five full seconds faster than Casey Tokarski's second-place mark.

Sarah Zerfoss won both of the diving events on the afternoon, posting the top scores in both the 3m and the 1m Dives. Her mark of 267.15 in the 3m was 12 points better than teammate
Noelle Melani's second-place finish, and her 274.80 in the 1m was also far ahead of the pack.

While the two teams were fairly even in terms of individual performances, the Fighting Scots built their advantage and eventual win on the Relays, winning both to cinch up the close victory.
