LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Clarion volleyball team won their fourth straight match to stay in a tie for the top of the PSAC Southwest standings, defeating Lock Haven 3-0 (25-16, 25-17, 25-21) on the road with a stout defensive effort. The Golden Eagles (16-10, 10-4 PSAC) will face Pitt-Johnstown tomorrow afternoon.

Marissa Robertson and
Lauryn Driscoll both posted efficient offensive results, notching 10 kills each with attack percentages over .300. Driscoll ended up with a team-high .368 mark on the night while Robertson hit .300 on the nose.Â
Taylor Braunagel posted nine kills, five digs and a block to further pace the offense.

The Clarion defense was solid in shutting down the Bald Eagles, outblocking them 8.0 – 2.0 in total team blocks. Team digs were equal at just 36 apiece, but Clarion was able to put away 41 kills to Lock Haven's 25 on the night.Â
Olivia Olson finished with a match-high four blocks while Driscoll added three and Robertson two.

With the victory, the Golden Eagles improve to 10-4 in PSAC play as they continue to battle for playoff positioning. They are currently tied with California (Pa.) for the lead in the Southwest division and in position to make the PSAC Tournament. Â
