PITTSBURGH, Pa. - The Clarion University men's swimming and diving team was defeated by the Carnegie Mellon Tartans Saturday afternoon by a score of 185-85. The Golden Eagles move to 3-1 on the season.
Nathan Porter led the way once again for the Blue and Gold, swimming a 1:57.67 in the 200-yard backstroke to snag a first-place finish. The freshman also swam to a second overall place in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:44.56. He finished first as a member of the 200-yard freestyle relay team as well, swimming a 1:31.37.
Divers
Cary Johns and Mike Allison finished with strong afternoons also, taking second and third in both the one and three-meter dives, respectively. The Golden Eagles return to action December 2nd at the Zippy Invitational in Akron, Ohio.
