JOHNSTOWN, Pa. - The Clarion University men's basketball team fell to Pitt Johnstown on the road by a final score of 80-58 Friday evening. The loss moves the Golden Eagles to 5-6 on the season (3-3 PSAC). The Blue and Gold return to action on January 3d when they head to Kutztown to face the Golden Bears.
Cameron Grumely led the way offensively for the Golden Eagles, posting a team-high 13 points, adding two steals and an assist on the evening.
Justin Grant led the team in assists with four, while Akeem Williams posted a team-high nine rebounds.

The Golden Eagles came out of the gate firing on all cylinders, rushing out to a 7-0 lead in the opening moments of the game's first half thanks to some nice hustle by Grumley and
BJ Andrews, however the transition speed and size of the Panthers in the paint proved to be a tough obstacle for the Blue and Gold to overcome.
Although CU made the most of their chances from the free throw line and knocked down four three-pointers, they could not outlast teh Panthers Friday evening.
