EDINBORO, Pa. –
Rob Agurs tipped in an offensive rebound as time expired in regulation to send the game to overtime but the Clarion men's basketball team was edged in the extra session on Saturday, with Edinboro topping the Golden Eagles 97-94. The Golden Eagles fall to 12-14 overall, 9-11 in PSAC competition.

Henri Wade-Chatman made a jumper with 0:16 left in regulation to put the Fighting Scots ahead 84-82 but the Golden Eagles were afforded one more possession to draw it even. Agurs missed a layup with four seconds remaining on the clock and
Akeem Williams missed a putback attempt, but Agurs came in for a third opportunity and notched the equalizer.Â

Clarion led by as many as three points in overtime, with
BJ Andrews scoring on an and-one with 4:10 left to make it 88-85. The Fighting Scots responded with a 9-1 run, though, and ultimately held on for the win.

Agurs went off for a double-double of 30 points and 10 rebounds, with the senior wing going 10-of-18 from the field and 10-of-11 from the free throw line. He also added six assists and four steals.Â
De'Ondre Terrell had his second straight outstanding scoring performance with 16 points on 5-of-8 shooting from the field, while Andrews finished the game with 14 points.Â

Clarion outrebounded Edinboro 37-34 but the Fighting Scots held the advantage in points in the paint by a 44-30 margin. The Golden Eagles came back from a 13-point deficit in the second half, with the Fighting Scots building that lead with 12:02 remaining in regulation.

Terrell cut the Fighting Scots' lead to single-digits for good with 7:11 left, knocking down a midranger jumper to make it 75-66.Â
Tim Gill took a feed from
Justin Dobbs on the next possession and laid it in to make it a seven-point game, and Terrell converted a rare four-point play with 4:58 left to slash the deficit to one 75-74. Edinboro held the edge over Clarion for the most part, but Agurs' tip-in sent the game to overtime.

The lead changed hands a number of times in the first half, with
Justin Grant putting the Golden Eagles ahead 19-18 at the 10:48 mark with a three-pointer and
Cameron Grumley making it 21-20 with two free throws. The latest Clarion lead in the half came at the 1:39 mark after a jumper from Agurs, but the score was ultimately tied at the end of the period thanks to two free throws from Andrews.
