EDINBORO, Pa., - The Clarion University women's swimming and diving team was defeated on the road Friday evening at Edinboro by a final score of 112-93. The loss moves the Golden Eagles to 3-4 overall in dual meets this season. The Blue and Gold return to action on February 4th when they host the Clarion Invite.
Becca Yonek enjoyed a hot start for Clarion, taking first overall in the 1000 yard freestyle with a final time of 10:55.39. Letizia Collini also managed to snag a first-place mark in the 100 yard freestyle, touching out with a finals tim of 55.81.

Summer Dacheux kept the momentum going in the meet's later stages by snagging a first-place finishes in the 500 yard freestyle and the 100 yard backstroke, respectively, however Edinboro was able to hang on in the end and secure the victory at home. The University of Pittsburgh also participated in the meet as well.
