GREENSBURG, Pa: The Seton Hill Griffins won three consecutive sets to sweep Clarion 3-0 on Saturday, in a matchup of two of the top volleyball teams in the PSAC.

Both teams entered the match with an 8-2 mark in the PSAC tied for tops in the Southwest division.

The Golden Eagles had Seton Hill at set point in the first, leading 24-22 but the Griffins rallied for four straight points to win the first set 26-24.

Seton Hill would go on to win the second set 25-21 followed by a 25-12 rout in the third set to win the match.

Clarion outplayed Seton Hill in the first set, limiting the Griffin attack to a .083 hitting percentage, however Seton Hill would find their rhythm, hitting .452 in the third set to put the match away.

Taylor Braunagel finished the day with 14 kills, Julia Holden added 9 kills while Kaitlyn Glaser chipped in on the attack with 6 kills of her own.

Olivia Olson returned to the Golden Eagle lineup after missing the last couple of games, she played two sets and recorded 2 blocks.  Ashley Poling anchored the Clarion back line with 16 digs on the afternoon.

Clarion will be on the road next weekend when they take on Shippensburg on Friday (Oct 27) at 7pm, followed by a Saturday (Oct 28) contest with Millersville at 1pm.
