Harden-Pullium shines in loss to Robert Morris, 67-60

Moon Twp, Pa. – The Clarion Women's basketball team fell to Robert Morris University in an exhibition contest Saturday afternoon, 67-60.
 
Robert Morris jumped out to a big lead early, scoring the first 7 points of the game.  Clarion struggled to get into a rhythm offensively, and trailed 23-12 after one period of play.
 
Senior Amesha Harden-Pullium kept Clarion in the game, going 3 of 4 from three point range, finishing the 1st half with 12 points.
 
The Colonials did the bulk of their damage in the 1st half on the perimeter, going  6 of 9 from three point range.  Down low, the Colonials held a 20-13 advantage in rebounding. Robert Morris took a 44-27 lead into halftime.
 
Robert Morris got back to work quickly to start the 2nd half, scoring the first 11 points of the 3rd quarter to extend the lead to 55-27.  With just :35 remaining in the 3rd quarter, the Colonials had built a 61-33 lead and seemingly had put the game away. However, the Golden Eagles would come storming back with a 27-6 run to cut the lead to 67-60 with 2:00 left to play.
 
Unfortunately for Clarion they would get no closer and the game would end with that same 67-60 final score.
 
Harden Pullium had a big game for the Golden Eagles, finishing the day with 25 points on 7 of 12 shooting, including 6 of 10 from three-point range.  Yndiah Bobo chipped in with a team-high 7 rebounds to go along with 4 assists and 3 steals.
 
Robert Morris was led by Nneka Ezeigbo, who finished with a game-high 25 points and 12 rebounds.
 
Clarion will return home to Tippin Gymnasium on Monday, December 18th, for a 5:00pm tip-off against visiting Penn State Dubois.
