Box Score GREENSBURG, Pa. – The Clarion volleyball team traveled to Seton Hill for the first round of PSAC Tournament play, Tuesday evening. The Golden Eagles took the early lead after winning the first set 25-22 but, Seton Hill would rally back to take the next three sets to seal the win (25-22, 14-25, 19-25, 15-25). Clarion finishes the year 21-11, 12-6 in PSAC play.

Aubrey Wrona led the way with a team-high 13 kills, followed by
Lauryn Driscoll with 11 and
Julia Holden with 8.
Chrissy Cotton finished with 17 digs over the four sets whileÂ
Marissa Robertson had 15. Â
Leah Vensel had a double-double finishing with 32 assists and 16 digs.

The Blue and Gold played a tremendous first set, hitting .270 as a team to build on an early 9-7 lead and never look back. Back to back blocks by the Golden Eagles put them up and got them rolling early as they traded points back and forth with the Griffins in the first set. Clarion built their largest lead of the night in set one off of a kill by Wrona making the score 16-11. Driscoll would cap off the set, bringing down the hammer off an assist from Vensel and picking up the kill to end set one.
Seton Hill responded in the second set, stringing together a 5-0 run halfway through the set making it 11-3. The Griffins went on a 6-2 run to close out the second set and grab the victory by a final score of 25-14. Seton Hill would remain in control the rest of the night en route to a 3-1 match victory and a PSAC Tournament Quarterfinal win. Â
