CLARION, Pa. - The Clarion men's basketball team was back in action at home Tuesday night, losing to a tough Millersville team 89-59.

The loss drops Clarion to 2-5 overall and 1-3 in the PSAC while Millersville improves to 6-4 overall and 3-1 in league play.

The Golden Eagles kept it close for much of the first half, despite shooting just 37% from the floor. Solid perimeter defense by the Golden Eagles held the Marauders to just 3 of 10 from three point range in the first half. Going into halftime Clarion trailed by just eight points, 40-32.

A three-pointer by Millersville's Marcus Adkison at the 19:26 mark of the second half extended the Marauders lead to double-digits at 43-32 and they were off and running form there.

On the day, Clarion shot 37% from the floor (22 of 60) while MIllersville shot 56%, converting 34 of 61 attempts.

The Marauders also held a large advantage in the turnover column, forcing 21 turnovers compared to their 13.

Clarion was led offensively by sophomore guard
Khari Williams with 17 points on 7 of 16 shooting, while grabbing a team high eight boards. The junior duo of
Elijah Cottrill and
Lawrence Lemon had a strong game, both contributing 11 points. Lemon added a team-high eight rebounds, while Cottrill contributed a team-high four steals.
Stevan Rodriguez finished with eight points and seven rebounds in 18 minutes of action, freshman
James Price added three blocks.

Millersville's James Sullivan and Marcus Adkison each had a game-high 18 points to lead the Marauders. Adkison also added a team-high eight rebounds, while Jaden Faulkner dished off a game-high six assists.

The Golden Eagles will look to bounce back tomorrow night, December 19
th, as they host the Shippensburg Raiders. Tip-off is set for 7:30 PM at the Student Recreation Center.
