HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. – The Clarion tennis team completed its week with a dominant performance on Friday, defeating Shepherd 9-0 in South Carolina.  The Golden Eagles (4-5) will return home to begin PSAC West play. 
 
Clarion took all five singles matches and both doubles matches, as Shepherd fielded only five total players on the day.  Alivia Arnold and Maria Snyder claimed a win at No. 1 doubles for the second straight day, recording an 8-2 decision over Alisha Adkins and Zoie O'Neal.  Vinisha Reddy and Katie Benson also won in doubles, winning the No. 2 match by an 8-3 score.
 
Arnold got things going in singles play with a 6-2, 6-2 decision over O'Neal in the No. 1 match, and her doubles partner Snyder followed up with a straight sets in over Adkins.  Reddy defeated Anna Bock 6-2, 6-2 in the No. 3 singles match, and Michelle Petrilla took a 6-3, 6-3 decision at No. 4.
