LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Clarion volleyball team won their third straight conference match and their third consecutive sweep, defeating Lock Haven 3-0 (25-13, 25-12, 25-18) on the road. The Golden Eagles improve to 3-1 in the PSAC and are 11-5 overall heading into a home weekend with Shepherd and Shippensburg next week.

For the second straight match the Golden Eagle offense was dominant, hitting .284 as a team and committing just 10 errors against the Bald Eagles. Conversely, Lock Haven hit in the negative for the match, compiling a -.012 attack percentage with 21 errors compared to just 20 kills.Â

Julia Holden led the Golden Eagles with 13 kills and committed just two errors for a sterling .440 attack percentage, while
Lydia Leiner contributed seven kills and a .375 hitting percentage. The Golden Eagles aced Lock Haven nine times on Saturday, including four from
Chrissy Cotton and two apiece from
Alexa Cundy and
Aubrey Wrona. Cundy operated the offense to the tune of 30 assists and also contributed a kill.

Defensively, Cotton had the match-high with 11 digs.Â
Lauren Aichinger and
Holly Pittman were tough at the net with five and four blocks, respectively.Â
