BLOOMSBURG, Pa. –
Autumn Fortney won an individual event as the Golden Eagle women's swimming team fell 131.5-73.5 to Bloomsburg. Clarion now 2-2 overall will have the full team in action at the Zippy Invitational hosted by Akron starting December 6.

Fortney picked up her victory in the 100 Fly, pacing the field to collect nine team points in the event. Fortney finished almost three seconds ahead of Bloomsburg's Courtney Hubric, finishing in PSAC - qualifying time of 59.10 to top her opponents time of 1:02.08. The 200 Medley Relay team of Fortney,
Ava Arnold,
Amanda Dial and
Letizia Collini finished second with a final mark of 1:51.53 for four team points to start the meet.

Morgan Manglaviti picked up two second place finishes on the evening, starting with the 200 Free, touching the wall with a time of 1:57.88 a PSAC qualifying time, while also garnering a second-place finish in the 100 Free with a PSAC qualifying time of 54.23.

The Golden Eagles would pick up nine team points in the 100 Breaststroke, with
Candice Chalus, Dial and
Mary Clare Smith going 2-3-4. Chalus touched the wall in a PSAC qualifying time of 1:08.55, while Dial and Smith finished with times of 1:11.50 and 1:12.22 respectively.

Other Golden Eagles to record strong performances includedÂ
Collini who recorded a PSAC qualifying time of 25.60 in the 50 Free.
Michelle Morrisey finished with a time of 2:16.93 in the 200 IM, while Arnold finished in the 100 Back with a time of 1:02.00.
