STROUDSBURG, Pa -  East Stroudsburg's Michal Weiss dropped a game-high 20 points as the Warriors rolled to a home victory over the Clarion Golden Eagles on Saturday afternoon, 70-59.

Clarion drops to 1-7, 0-3 PSAC on the season while East Stroudsburg improves to 5-3 and 1-2 in the PSAC.

Both teams started off hot shooting 48.1 through the first half, but it was the Warriors who took a 34-30 lead in to the half. Elijah Cottrill had the hot hand notching 13 first half points shooting a perfect 100% from the floor.

The Warriors changed their defensive scheme and shut Cottrill down in the second half, holding him to zero points. This helped East Stroudsburg out score the Golden Eagles 36-29 to break away and take a commanding lead.

Weiss got hot in the second half scoring 10 points on 3 of 3 shooting to ultimately give the Warriors the game.

Clarion out-rebounded East Stroudsburg 35-33 on the afternoon, while shooting 44% from the floor in the game, however they just could not slow the Warrior attack. East Stroudsburg shot a 46% from the floor including 14 of 24 from the charity stripe.

The Golden Eagles were led by steady senior guard Cottrill who had a team high 13 points and 2 rebounds in 36 minutes of work.
