Box Score ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Golden Eagle women's basketball team dropped a road contest on Saturday evening, falling 70-62 to Bryant & Stratton at Edison Tech High School. Clarion (2-6) will return to Tippin Gym this week when they host Mercyhurst on Tuesday, Feb. 23. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.

Four Golden Eagles cracked double figures in scoring against the Bobcats, led by
Emily Brown's 13 points.
Emily Hegedus and
Abby Gatesman each chipped in 11 points while
Devon Adams notched 10 points.
Olivia Boocks finished with nine points and a team-high five rebounds.

Clarion was more efficient from the field than Bryant & Stratton, shooting 44.7 percent from the floor. The edge for the Bobcats came on the boards, where they held a 38-26 advantage. That led to a 14-0 advantage in second chance points for Bryant & Stratton.

The Bobcats opened the game on a 12-3 run, but the Golden Eagles eventually rallied back and took a 26-24 lead on a three-pointer by Boocks.
Ke'Airah Massiah added a trey to make it a 29-26 lead and Boocks knocked down another to stretch the lead to two possessions, at 35-29. That lead grew to 39-33 at halftime after
Neely Whitehead fed Adams for a late bucket.

The teams proceeded to battle it out, back-and-forth, for the rest of the game. Gatesman made a pair of free throws to put Clarion ahead 49-48, but the Bobcats roared back with five straight points to take a 53-49 lead early in the fourth quarter. It was a one-possession game after Massiah's made free throw cut the deficit to 58-55, but the Golden Eagles got no closer as the Bobcats held them off down the stretch.
