CLARION, Pa. --- The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) released its first set of regional rankings on Wednesday, with the Golden Eagle volleyball team among the 10 teams featured in the initial poll.
This first regional ranking poll does not put the teams in a numerical ranking. They are listed alphabetically.Â
Clarion is 22-2 overall this season, including a 20-2 record against Atlantic region opponents. The Golden Eagles also own a 12-1 record in PSAC West competition. The team boasts some of the best offensive numbers in the Atlantic region, ranking first among regional teams in kills at 14.64 per set. Their .265 team attack percentage ranks second, behind only Wheeling. Clarion's .917 win percentage this year is the best among Atlantic region teams.Â
Individually, outside hitter
Cassidy Snider leads the Atlantic Region in kills with an average of 4.23 kills per set, while teammate
Julia Piccolino ranks seventh at 3.75 kills per set. setter
London Fuller ranks second in the Atlantic Region in assists at 11.36 per set.Â
