GROVE CITY, Pa. – The Golden Eagle men's golf team jumped up one spot in the standings on the final day of the Hal Hansen Invitational, leapfrogging Bloomsburg to take ninth place after 36 holes at Grove City Country Club. Clarion carded a round of 332 on Monday to complete a two-day score of 655 (323-332).
The biggest leap of the day came from senior
Joey Vitali, who climbed 13 spots on the leaderboard and finished tied for 28
th overall in the field of 76. Vitali carved off four strokes from his Sunday score, shooting a 76 on Monday to pace his teammates and give him a two-day score of 156.
Ryan Robinson was second on the team and tied for 44
th overall over the weekend, shooting an 83 on Monday for a two-day score of 163.
Will Meyer was just one stroke behind him overall with a two-round 79-85-164, while
Keith Hamilton and
Creighton Carter also shot 85s on Monday.
Also competing for Clarion was
Hayden Siegel, who shot an 88 on Monday, followed by
Teagan Gray and
Hunter Woodward.
