Box Score BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Golden Eagle tennis team competed on the opening day of the 2022 PSAC Individual Tennis Championships on Saturday morning, with Clarion falling in two singles matches as well as the team's doubles match. The championships this year are being held at Bloomsburg's Burt Reese Tennis Center.
 
The day opened with doubles action, as the duo of Alexis Strouse and Davan Lion faced off with Millersville's Noelle Htwar and Maria Ojeda. The pairing of Htwar and Ojeda won by an 8-0 score to knock the Golden Eagles out of the doubles bracket.
 
Doubles action gave way to the women's singles bracket, with Strouse and Lion competing against two of the top singles players in the conference. Lion took on IUP's Joanna Stralka, who entered the tournament as the fourth-seeded singles player. Stralka defeated Lion in straight sets 6-0, 6-0. Strouse also competed against a seeded player, taking on Slippery Rock's Adriana Gonzalez Sanchez. She also dropped a straight sets decision, this one by a score of 6-1, 6-0.
