Will Feldkamp delivered an exciting finish in the 184-pound bout, breaking a 3-3 tie with Jha'Quan Anderson by taking him down to his back for four points as time expired.

Reynold Maines – making his dual match debut as a senior – pinned Abraham Preston just 25 seconds into the third period to close out the win. Maines started the second period in the top position and locked up a cradle off a mat return, getting the win by fall.

Recap: Wrestling their second MAC dual of the season, the Golden Eagles overcame a seesaw beginning to the match by stringing together three straight wins to defeat the Cougars.
Joey Fischer picked up his first win of the day, beating Davian Guanajuato by decision to give his team the lead.
Koen Kish wrestled a strong match at 133 before a surprise pin by Aaron Schulist gave the Cougars a lead, and SIUE held a 9-6 advantage after a win at 149 pounds.
Â
Elfvin gave Clarion their first bonus points of this particular bout, shutting out Alec Peralta for an 8-0 major decision, but Cardia Wilson overcame Pine at 165 pounds to put the Cougars ahead 12-10. It was then that the Golden Eagle rattled off three straight wins, starting with Worthing's win by fall over Chase Diehl. Worthing caught Diehl with a double-leg for a takedown in the opening minute, and after a reset returned his opponent to the mat. He worked Diehl's arm and turned him to his back for the pin.
Â
Feldkamp added to the lead with a low-scoring decision over Sergio Villalobos, winning by a 5-2 decision, and Bagoly clinched the team result with a fall at 197 pounds. He and Ryan Yarnell were stuck in neutral on the mat, with Bagoly on top and Yarnell grasping at his right leg. That gave Bagoly the opportunity to lock up the cradle on Yarnell, with the Golden Eagle senior rolling Yarnell to his back for the fall.
