CLARION, Pa. - Interim head football coach Matt Hanhold announced today the newest additions to the Golden Eagle football roster. The tally includes 13 current high school seniors and five midyear transfers, most of which hail from nearby parts of western and central Pennsylvania.

"I am excited to announce our class of 2022 and welcome their families to Clarion Football," Hanhold said. "As we continue to move forward, we look to this class to continue to build upon our identity and help define the Clarion Way. Each individual is unique in their skill sets and talents, and help fill immediate needs within our program. We got stronger in all three phases of the game with this class.
 
"I am proud of the work our staff put in to prospecting, evaluating and welcoming talent to our program," Hanhold continued. "As we move towards the future we always will strive to recruit the best talent in the state of Pennsylvania, and to assist in their leadership development to reach their full potential as people, students and athletes. Not only did Clarion Football get better today, but Clarion University got better as we welcome some tremendous student-athletes and families to the University."
