NORTH EAST, Pa. – Braving wet, windy and cold conditions, the Golden Eagle women's golf team competed at the Mercyhurst Spring Invitational on Thursday, placing fifth in the field. Clarion carded a team score of 407 in less than ideal conditions at Lake View Country Club.
The top finisher for Clarion was
Samantha Huth, who overcame the tough conditions to shoot a 91 in the one-round tournament. That was good enough to tie for 19
th overall.
Taylor Galigher finished all alone in 32
nd in the field with a score of 103, while
Sylvia Stibley shot a 106 to tie for 33
rd. Rounding out the top four for the Golden Eagles was
Lauren McGrady, who finished one stroke behind Stibley at 107.
Three other Clarion golfers competed in the event, with
Macey Davison leading that group with a score of 120.
Emily DeMartino was just behind her at 123, while
McLain Alt shot a 128.
