WEST CHESTER, Pa. – The Golden Eagle men's golf team returned to action after a lengthy layoff on Monday afternoon, placing 11
th in the field in the first round at the Edwin Cottrell Invitational hosted by West Chester. Clarion shot a team score of 328 on Monday, placing them 11
th in the field.
Nick Giambrone was the top finisher for the Golden Eagles on the first day, tying for 18
th in the field of 68 golfers with a score of 78 on Monday.
Willie Hoover and
Ryan Robinson were just behind him, tying for 43
rd overall with scores of 83.
Just one stroke behind them and rounding out the scoring for Clarion was
Will Meyer, who carded a round of 84.
Creighton Carter shot an 87.
Action will resume at Penn Oaks Golf Club on Tuesday morning at 9 a.m.
