ERIE, Pa. – The Golden Eagle women's golf team continued their four-day swing in Erie by kicking off the Michael Corbett Fall Classic hosted by Gannon. Clarion ranked 11
th in the field after 18 holes of action at Whispering Woods Golf Course, carding a team score of 385.
Sylvia Stibley carded the best round of the day for the Golden Eagles, shooting a 92 in the opening round of action. That included one of only two birdies on the day for Clarion, with Stibley scoring a four on the par-5 No. 3.
Hailee Liptak had the other birdie, scoring a 3 on the par-4 No. 10 as part of her 95 over 18 holes. That tied her with
Samantha Huth for second-best on the team, with Huth also carding a 95.
Rounding out the top-four for Clarion was
Lauren McGrady, shooting a 103, but
Emily DeMartino had the fourth-best score of the day for the Golden Eagles. Playing as an individual, DeMartino carded a round of 98.
