PSAC Fall Invitational Recap
The Golden Eagles' dominance in the Fall Invitational could be put succinctly: it was not until the fifth event that someone other than a Clarion swimmer won an event, and in fact it happened only three times in the eight events contested in the early meet. Clarion swept both relays, taking the top spots in the 400 Medley Relay and the 200 Free Relay, and Golden Eagles stacked points in a number of other events.
Â
In the first relay of the day, the quartet of
Connor Cary,
Henry Miller,
David Bocci and
Austin Prokopec blew past the rest of the field in the 400 Medley Relay, finishing in a time of 3:28.00 that was nearly eight seconds faster than the second-place unit deployed by IUP. They also had the third-place finisher, with
Aidan Mohren,
Michael Lintelman,
Gavin Guckavan and Dom Cortopassi making up that squad.
Â
The points continued to stack in the first individual event of the day as six Golden Eagles finished in the top nine in the 50 Free, led by
Henry Miller's winning time of 21.29. Miller, Cary, Prokopec, Guckavan, Bocci and Cortopassi all hit PSAC qualifying mark in the process. Cortopassi and Guckavan took the top two spots in the 100 IM, touching the wall in time of 53.57 and 54.11 respectively, and Bocci was the leader in the 100 Fly, winning with a time of 51.22. He and Miller hit PSAC qualifying marks in the event as well.
Â
Cary, Guckavan and Cortopassi all achieved PSAC qualifying times in the 100 Free, while Miller, Bocci, Cary and Prokopec all hit marks in the 100 Backstroke, but it was not until the 200 Free Relay that the Golden Eagles would win another event. Miller, Bocci, Cary and Prokopec touched the wall in a time of 1:27.27, edging out IUP's top unit.

PSAC Fall Sprint Frenzy Recap
In a meet filled with some unique relays and events, the Golden Eagle men were once again the top team among the three competitors. The meet started with the 200 Medley Relay, with Cary, Miller, Bocci and Prokopec pacing the field by four seconds with a time of 1:35.93. Perhaps unsurprisingly, Clarion excelled in the second event as well, a 3x100 Fly Relay. The trio of Cary, Miller and Bocci cruised to a first place finish with a time of 2:35.38.
Â
That gave way to another win in a unique relay, the 3x100 Back. Cary, Bocci and Mohren finished in first with a time of 2:45.115 while Cortopassi, Guckavan and
Aidan Ochoa took second with a time of 2:48.18. Guckavan, Miller and Lintelman went on to win the 3x100 Breaststroke Relay with a time of 3:01.16.
Â
Back in the individual events, Clarion took home the top four spots in the 50 Fly, with Cary winning the event in a time of 22.98. He also won the 50 Back, edging Cortopassi with a time of 24.73.
