CLARION, Pa. --- The Golden Eagle volleyball team caught fire in the final two sets, extending their win streak to eight matches with a 3-1 (25-21, 19-25, 25-14, 25-17) victory over Seton Hill in Tippin Gym. Clarion hit .303 over the final two sets while holding the Griffins to a .012 attack percentage in the same time frame.

The Griffins got the better of the Golden Eagles in the second set, hitting .344 in that frame while Clarion attacked at just a .071 clip. Things turned around in the last two sets as Clarion buckled down and forced the Seton Hill into a number of attacking errors, and improved enough on offense to cruise to the match win.

London Fuller dished out 47 assists to go with 12 digs and three blocks, distributing the ball to a full arsenal of attackers.
Cassidy Snider led the way with a match-high 22 kills, hitting .500 with just two errors on 38 attempts.
Julia Piccolino notched nine kills and 15 digs while
Savannah Taosoga notched 10 kills and a .304 attack percentage.

In the first set, things were tied up at 14 until a 4-0 run by the Golden Eagles broke things open.
Finley Kearney and Taosoga combined to block Paige Cole to make it 16-14, and Piccolino put away a ball two points later to increase the lead to 18-14. Snider forced set point with a kill and then finished off the game three points later, taking a set from Fuller to make it 25-21.

The Griffins took a pretty firm handle on the second set, going on a 6-1 run to build up a 19-13 lead. Taosoga and Piccolino recorded kills to pull it within 22-19 but Seton Hill scored three straight to take the set 25-19. Clarion responded well, dominating the middle portion of the third set to take a 2-1 lead in the match.
Haley Fledderjohann served up an ace off Cole to make it a 16-8 lead, and
Charlie Allison blocked Catie Flohr to increase the lead to double digits. Now with a commanding lead Clarion scored three straight points to wrap the set, with Piccolino closing it out with a kill.

The fourth set was close through the middle portion, with Cole recording a kill to cut Clarion's lead to 16-14. Snider posted kills on back-to-back points to make it 18-14, and Taosoga added another to up it to 19-14. Allison finished off the match with a kill on match point, banging one home to make it 25-17.
