Carver Paces Golden Eagles to 12th Place Finish at PSACs

BLOOMSBURG, Pa. --- Mackenzie Carver took 11th place overall to earn first team all-conference honors on Saturday morning, leading the Golden Eagle cross country team to a 12th place finish at the 2023 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championship hosted by Bloomsburg.

Carver completed the 6K course in a time of 23:35.1, putting her less than a second behind Millersville's Morgan Janiuk for a spot in the top-10. In doing so, Carver became the first Golden Eagle harrier to earn First Team All-PSAC honors – defined as finishing inside the top-15 at the conference championship – since Kayce Bobnar took 11th place in 2018.

Checking in at second for the Golden Eagles was Allison Farson, who placed 42nd overall with a time of 24:52.2. Cheynne Mehl was third on the team and 58th overall in her first-ever taste of the conference championship, logging a time of 25:19.0. Gabby Kutchma rounded out Clarion's top-five with a time of 25:39.3, good for 74th overall.

The sixth and seventh spots for Clarion were separated by just .2 seconds, with Caleigh Aigler coming in at 27:14.6 and Emmy Davis in 27:14.8. Paige Brewer and Amanda McCoy also competed for the Golden Eagles.
