ERIE, Pa. --- The Clarion women's golf team wrapped their second round at the Michael Corbett Fall Classic hosted by Gannon on Monday, shooting a team score of 363 at Whispering Woods. Combined with the Golden Eagles' score of 350 on Sunday, Clarion finished the tournament in eighth place with a combined team score of 713.

Hannah Smith was one of two Golden Eagles to improve her score from the first round to the second, shaving off three strokes for an 85 on Monday. Smith tied
Sylvia Stibley for 29
th overall in the field after two rounds, as Stibley shot an 89 on Monday to place just behind Smith in the second round. Stibley logged a birdie on the par-3 second hole, one of four birdies for a Golden Eagle on the day.

Samantha Huth also made a big leap from Sunday to Monday, cutting off seven strokes to card a 92 on Monday. Like Stibley, Huth also birdied the par-3 second hole, and she also closed out the front nine with a birdie on the par-4 ninth hole.

Huth finished just out of the tournament scoring for the Golden Eagles, though, as
Hailee Liptak (186) and
McKayla Kerle (190) finished ahead of her on the overall leaderboard. Kerle actually started her day with a birdie on the par-3 14
th hole.
