Jeremy Thomas II was voted the PSAC West Defensive Athlete of the Week for Nov. 13 after his first weekend in the Blue & Gold, with the freshman turning in a pair of stellar efforts.

Thomas was a revelation for the Golden Eagles over the weekend, dominating on the glass in the Golden Eagles' games against Bluefield State and Frostburg State. The freshman wing totaled 27 rebounds and seven blocked shots in the two games, giving him averages of 13.5 boards and 3.5 blocked shots per contest. In the opening game against Big Blue Thomas was a force, scoring 14 points while also grabbing 18 rebounds - the second-highest individual total for a PSAC player in the opening weekend - and blocking three shots. In the Golden Eagles' win over Frostburg State Thomas was again tough on defense, snagging nine boards and blocking four shots.Â
