Women's Swimming and Diving Downs Shippensburg, 173-70

CLARION, Pa.--- The women's swimming and diving team defeated Shippensburg by a score of 173-70, which saw nine events with Clarion finishing on top.

The night started with a Golden Eagles victory, as the quartet of Joslyn Jurski, Ava Rosely, Hannah Greenway, and Maddy McTeer raced out to a victory, pacing the field with a time of 1:49.08. In the next event, Jurski would earn her second victory of the night in the long-distant 1000 free, touching the wall in 11:01.55, six seconds faster than teammate Allison McMurray.

Clarion would finish the 200 Free with the top two finishers, with freshman Amanda Fetsko edging out Jordan Kutchak by just two seconds. Senior Maria Wold was the first to touch the wall in the 200 IM, finishing with a time of 2:13.44. The Golden Eagles would win the next two events, first seeing Emma Dorsey race to a time of 2:14.00 in the 200 Fly, and Hannah Greenway barely edging out Dorsey by just .62 seconds.

Wold would earn her second victory of the night in the 200 Back with a time of 2:10.56, three seconds faster than the second-place finisher. Jurski would collect her second long-distance victory of the night, finishing the 500-meter Free in 5:22.50. In the final swim event of the night, Clarion's quartet of Haley Miller, Kutchak, Fetsko, and Greenway dominated the event, finishing with a time of 1:39.23, seven seconds faster than the next quartet.

Clarion's women's diving team was also on display tonight, winning both the one- and three-meter events. In the one-meter dive event, Alexa Gonczi edged out Luna Castellanos, 277.88 to 274.35. The three-meter dive would see the opposite, as Castellanos would win the event, finishing with a new pool record score of 316.50 compared to Gonzci's 283.73.
