CLARION, Pa. --- The Golden Eagle football team wrapped its spring practice schedule with its annual Blue / Gold Game on Saturday afternoon, welcoming fans, family and incoming recruits to take in the action at Memorial Stadium.
Braving chillier-than-normal temperatures and a persistent drizzling rain early in the day, fans were nonetheless engaged as the Golden Eagles split into offensive and defensive sides, competing in a number of down-and-distance scenarios.
At halftime, head coach
Raymond Monica awarded plaques for Most Improved Player. This year the offense was represented by receiver
Trenten Smith, while on defense linebacker
Ben Leese was honored. At the conclusion of the event, incoming recruits in attendance joined the team on the field for a final cheer as well as a group photo.
