BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Competing in a huge field that contained some of the best teams in their own regions as well as others from across the country, the Golden Eagle cross country team placed 20
th overall in the White 6K at the Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh. Clarion ranked fifth among PSAC schools at the meet.

As has been the case for much of the year,
Mackenzie Carver was the top finisher for the Golden Eagles on Saturday. The senior took 10
th place overall with a time of 22:54.8 and was one of the frontrunners for much of the race, finishing her first mile split in second place overall. Junior
Allison Farson placed second on the team and 42
nd overall with a time of 23:58.6 and was followed by freshman
Cheyenne Mehl, who placed 138
th with a time of 25:32.4.

Gabby Kutchma was just behind her with a tiem of 25:35.2, and
Paige Brewer rounded out Clarion's top-five with a time of 26:34.0. Freshmen
Emmy Davis and
Caleigh Aigler took the sixth and seventh spots in the Clarion lineup.

The Golden Eagles will have one more regular season race in a week, when they head to the Bill Lennox Invitational hosted by Slippery Rock. That will be their final tune-up for the 2023 PSAC Championship later in October.
