JOHNSTOWN, Pa. --- The Golden Eagles men's golf team finished their second round at the Sunehanna Collegiate just one stroke off the pace they set in the first, shooting a team score of 326 at Sunnehana Country Club on Tuesday. Clarion finished 16th in the field with a team score of 651 (325-326).

Hayden Siegel had the best round of the day for the Golden Eagles, cutting two strokes off his score from Monday to post a 79. His back nine was the best nine holes of any Golden Eagle as well, with Siegel shooting just one-over on the back for a 36. He made birdie on the 17
th and 18
th holes, shooting threes on the back-to-back par fours. That gave him a two-day score of 160 (81-79), tying him for 76
th.

Just one stroke behind Siegel was
Teagan Gray, who also had a strong back nine. Gray finished with an 80 for the round, making birdie on the par-five 11
th and the par-four 13
th for a 38 on the back nine. That represented an eight-stroke improvement from his first round and gave him a two-round score of 168 (88-80). Bradley Kugler carded an 82 on Tuesday – a seven-stroke improvement for him – for a  two-day score of 171 (89-82), and
Devon Lauer rounded out Clarion's scoring in the second round with an 85. He finished second on the team for the entire tournament with a 163 (78-85), two strokes and one place ahead of
Chase Smith, who shot an 87 on Tuesday for a 165 (78-87).
