Men's Divers Open Year at Don Leas Invite

CLARION, Pa. --- The divers of the Golden Eagles men's swimming & diving team opened the 2024-25 season at home on Friday night, competing at the Don Leas Diving Invite in Tippin Natatorium.

Freshman Corwin Lindeman had a fine showing in his first-ever collegiate action, hitting NCAA cuts in both the 1-Meter six-dive and 11-dive lists on Friday. He took second in the six-dive event on the one-meter board, scoring a 303.55, and then went on to post a 492.85 in the 11-dive event, which was also good for second place.

With those scores, Lindeman takes his first steps toward NCAA qualification. He will need to hit additional marks at another event to qualify.

Fellow freshman Zakary Kennedy took fifth in the 1-Meter six-dive event with a score of 263.85, and also took fifth in the 11-dive list with a score of 433.05. Jack Beattie was the top finisher for the Golden Eagles in the 3-Meter six-dive list, finishing third with a score of 293.2. Michael Flamm took fifth in that same event, scoring a 271.65.
