Men's Swimming & Diving Hosts Clarion Fall Classic

CLARION, Pa. --- Jack Beattie hit NCAA qualifying marks in the One-Meter Dive on Saturday afternoon, highlighting the Golden Eagles' men's swimming & diving team's day at the Clarion Fall Classic in Tippin Natatorium.
 
Beattie hit NCAA scores in both the six-dive and the 11-dive events on Saturday, taking fifth in the former and second in the latter. He posted a team-best score of 300.20 in the six-dive event, which represented a qualifying score, and later logged a score of 456.75 in the 11-dive event. Beattie now needs another NCAA qualifying mark to earn himself a trip to the Championships in March. Beattie took fourth in the 3-Meter Dive, scoring 287.4 in the six-dive event.
 
Michale Flamm and Zakary Kennedy also combed for the Golden Eagles on Saturday. Flamm placed fourth in the 1-Meter 11-dive event with a score of 429.95 and eight in the 3-Meter with a mark of 241.15. Kennedy finished second in the 11-dive 1-Meter event, posting a score of 431.00.
