CARLISLE, Pa. --- The Golden Eagle women's swimming & diving team wrapped up a third consecutive successful day at the 2024 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Swimming Championships on Friday night, concluding action ranked in third place with one more day of competition to go. Clarion has 633 team points, behind only West Chester and IUP.

Joslyn Jurski hit an NCAA B cut and shattered a program record in the process, taking third in the 500 Free on Friday night. The sophomore shaved off more than six full seconds from her preliminary time on Friday morning, hitting a mark of 4:58.55. That broke Teri Peot's 43-year-old record of 4:59.90 set back in 1981, and cleared the NCAA B cut mark by more than five full seconds.

That was the individual highlight of the day for the Golden Eagles, but it was hardly the only one.
Michaela Hinkson and
Emma Dorsey both reached the A heat of the 200 Fly on Friday night, taking seventh and eighth respectively with times of 2:10.53 and 2:11.07.
Sarah Grimenstein took fourth in her heat and 12
th overall with a time of 2:14.80.

The sole relay of the night was the 200 Medley, and that also proved to be a big source of points for the Golden Eagles.
Zoey Beck,
Hailey Fry,
Hannah Greenway and
Jordan Kutchak combined to finish second in the field with a time of 1:45.89, just a second behind IUP's leading unit. Beck went on to take ninth in the 100 Back, leading the Golden Eagle swimmers in the event and winning the B heat with a time of 57.63.

th – 59.04),
Stella Chierico (21
st – 1:00.08) and
Maria Wold (23
rd – 1:00.10) also scored in the event.

There were two Golden Eagle scorers in the 100 Breast as well.
Corina Paszek took 21
st with a time of 1:08.44, while Fry was 23
rd with a time of 1:09.77.
