NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. --- The Golden Eagle track & field team continued their push toward the conference championships on Saturday, competing at the Westminster Invitational.

Freshman
Nicole Carroll just missed out on a PSAC-qualifying time in the 800m but still placed highly in the field, taking second overall with a time of 2:26.27.
Caleigh Aigler also finished inside the top-10 in the event, placing 10
th with a time of 2:30.95.
Cheyenne Mehl logged a 13
th-place performance in the 1500m, crossing the line in a time of 5:09.64.

Elsewhere in the distance events,
Paige Brewer placed ninth in the 3000m Steeplechase. She finished the grueling long-distance circuit in a time of 12:53.24.

In the sprints,
Hannah Redwood took 12
th overall in the 100m. She crossed the line in a time of 13.22, her best mark of the season. She also took 11
th in the 200m, hitting a time of 27.00.

In the Shot Put,
Shelly Jones hit a season-high in the outdoor version o the event, finishing in fifth place in the field with a mark of 12.59. Jones' best throw came on her second attempt of the day, and was far and away the best mark she recorded on Saturday. Jones also placed seventh in the Discus, hitting a distance of 35.16m on her final attempt of the day. Meanwhile,
Autumn Pettinato took 10
th in the Javelin with a mark of 32.47m, with her scoring attempt coming on her first throw of the competition.

Sadie Leisinger took sixth in the High Jump with a mark of 1.50m.
Emily Pleslusky tied for the 11
th in the Pole Vault. She cleared the bar at a height of 2.73m.
