NEW ORLEANS --- The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced their 2024 track & field All-Academic Teams today. The Golden Eagles track & field team earned a spot on the list for the 2023-24 academic year.
 
To earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Team honors, the cumulative GPA for all student-athletes on the team must be at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for both semesters of the academic year. Clarion track & field athletes boasted a cumulative GPA of 3.61 for the 2023-24 academic year.
 
The Golden Eagles track & field team has now been honored several times this summer for their academic achievement. Five members of the team – Mackenzie Carver, Shelly Jones, Sadie Leisinger, Leah Perry and Autumn Pettinato – secured College Sports Communications (CSC) Academic All-District honors. Additionally, 14 members of the team earned Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Scholar-Athlete honors, meaning they individually earned a 3.25 GPA or better over the course of the school year.
