Men's Golf Takes 13th at Hannastown Collegiate

GREENSBURG, Pa. --- The Golden Eagles men's golf team finished off their second round and completed a third on Tuesday afternoon, taking 13th at the Hannastown Collegiate Golf Invitational. Clarion finished their second round with a team score of 300 and their third with a 308, giving them a three-round score of 921 (313-300-308).
 
The Golden Eagles first finished up the second round they started on Monday afternoon, improving 13 strokes from one round to the next with an even 300 for a team score. Teagan Gray was the standout performer for that round, shooting a 72 that was just two-over par. He birdied three holes in the second round, including a pair of par-fours and one par-five. JP Tusai was just two strokes behind him, carding a birdie on the par-four 16th hole for a score of 74. Devon Lauer made birdie on the par-four fifth and 16th holes for a 76, and Chase Smith wrapped up the scoring with a 78 in the second round.
 
Clarion shot a team score of 308 in the third and final round, this time with Lauer finishing with the low score. He made birdie on the par-four 10th and 12th holes and generally avoided big numbers, carding a score of 73. Gray made birdie right off the bat, on the par-four first hole, and finished his final round with a 75. Brad Kugler sprinkled three birdies into his final round of 77, while Smith shot a round of 83 to finish the scoring.  
 
Gray finished the tournament tied for 46th place, posting a score of 226 (79-72-75). Lauer came next, placing 61st with score of 231 (82-76-73). Kugler shot a 234 (78-79-77) and Tusai 235 (78-74-84).
