CLARION, Pa. --- The divers of the Golden Eagles men's swimming & diving team kicked off the 2025-26 season at the Don Leas Diving Invitational, with all four Clarion divers competing hitting NCAA qualification scores in both the 1-meter and 3-meter Dives.

Zach Schering, making his return to competition in 2025-26, won both 11-dive events for the Golden Eagles. He posted a score of 537.85 in the 1-Meter 11-dive list, including three dives over 60 points. That included a top score of 66.65 on an Inward 2 ½ Somersault Tuck to close out his six-dive list.
Michael Flamm was just behind him, scoring a 521.30 with two dives earning him better than 60 points.
Ethan Coronado was third in the field as well as on the team with a score of 516.80, nearly matching Schering's highest-scoring dive with a 66.00 on a Reverse 2 ½ Somersault Tuck. Zak Kennedy rounded out the top-four in the 1-Mter Dive with a score of 490.05.

The Golden Eagles followed suit in the 3-Meter Dive, with Schering once again taking the top spot. He logged a score of 544.60 in the 11-dive list, including a 73.50 on his last dive in the six-dive set. That came on an Inward 2 ½ Somersault Pike that garnered him a 9.0 score from one judge. Kennedy was second on the team in the 3-Meter Dive, scoring a 503.45, while Flamm was third with a 501.85. This time Coronado rounded out the top four with a score of 479.75.

Schering set three pool records on Friday, hitting the mark in the 1-meter 11-dive list (537.85), the 3-meter 6-dive list (350.35) and the 3-meter 11-dive list (544.60).
